Each authority makes different choices. There is no right way to separate waste and no wrong way. Every project is a good project if the choices are shared between the environmental hygiene company and the administration, and communicated to the users.
To find out how to collect waste in your municipality, go to the section dedicated to useful information for correct waste separation.
When a new collection service is launched, such as the changeover from street collection to door-to-door collection, the public authority and the environmental hygiene company will distribute new containers to be used for displaying waste in order to make it easier for operators to empty them.
Wet (organic) waste is food waste of animal and vegetable origin (e.g. fruit and vegetable peelings, egg shells, apple cores), which is discarded during the preparation and consumption of meals.
To find out how and when to dispose of the organic waste in your municipality, download the weekly calendar (divided between domestic and non-domestic users) so that you can correctly separate organic waste (and other categories).
